The study guide presents materials related to the development of algorithms for solving popular typical computational problems. Brief theoretical information on the formulation and numerical method of solving each type of problems, development of the algorithm and computer program, and analysis of numerical solutions constitute the content of the book. The book consists of six sections; each section is devoted to a certain group of typical problems. Each section contains practical examples realized on the computer, and also offers readers tasks for independent solution. The computer programs are written by the author in the Python programming language. The study guide is intended for students of higher technical educational institutions, and some of its sections can be used in the process of teaching high school students.
