The study aid is devoted to topical issues of medical protozoology. The basic information on the morphology of representatives of the protozoan type, classes flagellate, sarcodes, infusoria and sporozoa is presented. Life cycles, invasion routes, diagnostic methods and preventive measures of protozoal diseases are discussed in detail. For better assimilation of the material, the manual includes questions for self-control, test tasks and situational tasks that are as close as possible to the practical activities of a doctor. The manual corresponds to the content of the biology curriculum for students of medical universities mastering educational programs in. The study aid is intended for students of medical universities and is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the current Federal State educational standard of higher education of a specialist in the specialty 31.05.01 “Medicine”, 31.05.02 “Pediatrics”, 31.05.03 “Dentistry”, 32.05.01 “Preventive medicine” and work programs of the disciplines “Biology”, “Biology, Ecology”, approved by the CCMS of the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Education of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, it can be useful for teachers of medical universities, doctors of various specialties and environmentalists.
